St. Bernard Beach Resort Cebu Philippines

Our place on Bantayan Island in Cebu consists of two rows of very unique and beautiful round cottages with nipa roofing, nicely located and surrounded with lots different plants in the shade of palm trees. The resort is handicapped-accessible.

From the moment you enter our gate, your eyes will see a lot of flowers you know from the European living rooms, here in the Philippines they just grow outside the whole year around. You will see beautiful man-high Hawaii flowers (hibiscus), which will guide the paths between the cottages to the beach and our cozy small restaurant.

Our Restaurant serves food which will satisfy almost everyone, European, American or Filipino. If you are a connoisseur of seafoods, you have chosen the right place, Shell, shrimps, Sizzling Lapu-Lapu or Squid, if there is fresh stock at the marked, then we've got it! If you prefer meat, then we serve all, from Chicken Adobe with plenty of vegetables, Pork meat in different variations like Tenderloin in cream sauce or Wiener schnitzel. Should you for dessert feel like eating a Mango pancake flambé with caramel sauce, then it is one of our specialties.

St. Bernard is not a big place, we only have 8 cottages for renting out, All are made of stone in a very unique round design and topped with beautiful nipa roofing.

All cottages are with a big double bed. The exciting part is that no two cottages are made the same inside, all have their own unique look and design. Common for all cottages are nice clean toilets and showers, electric fans and AM/FM Radios. Some now also have Aircon installed.

At our beachfront you have a nice view of two small islands "Hilantagaan " and "Virgin Island". Take a look down the beach and you will see a lot of the small bancas (local canoes) on the beach. You can follow them, from our terrace, when every day they leave to fish and again later see them when they return with the day’s catch.

The beachfront terrace is split up into two areas, a big area with only white sand, partly covered in the shade of the palm trees. There are sun beds, tables and chairs for you to use. For those who do not like or have difficulty getting around in the sand, the left side is made of concrete; from here you can use the entrance to the beach via a 1-meter-wide ramp.
