The Beijing Far East International Youth Hostel, or the Beijing Far East Hotel, is located in a sheltered and conserved Hutong section in Beijing. It is only 10 minutes away from the Qianmen Business Center, the Tian’anmen Square, and the Forbidden City.

The hostel is environment-conscious and therefore offers non-smoking rooms and smoking is not allowed is some areas. It was previously the home of a warlord more than a century ago. It has a courtyard made in the traditional style of the Qing dynasty. Guests can hire a rickshaw for a tour of the historical sites in the area, including the Forbidden City, Tian’anmen Square, the old embassy section, and the Antique Market or Liulichang.

The hostel has more than 150 rooms that are classified into the suite rooms, the standard rooms, and economic rooms, with rates starting at 60 yuan per bed. It has a centralized air-conditioning and heating system, a Chinese and Western-style restaurant that can be used for meetings and various functions with a capacity of 200 people, and a Western-style bar. Other services provided include booking services for train and air travel, broadband Internet access, a small refrigerator, cable television, luggage storage, self-service laundry, bicycle rentals, and self-service kitchen.

The Beijing Far East International Youth Hotel is approximately 30 kilometers way from the international airport. Guests who arrive by airplane are advised to take the shuttle bus, go down at the XiDan Aviation Building, and then take Bus Number 15 or Number 14 and alight at LiuLiChang.
